β€” OUR STORY

A love for dogs that turned into something bigger.

β€œProgress isn't about control β€” it's about trust, consistency, and understanding the dog in front of you.”

Four years of hands-on experience, one very influential dog, and a genuine belief that every dog deserves to be understood.

This all started with a love for dogs.

Since leaving high school, I've spent the last four years working hands-on with dogs β€” learning not just how to handle them, but how to read them. Over time, I started to notice how many dogs were lacking the right kind of mental and physical stimulation. Not because owners don't care β€” because it's not always straightforward. That's where my focus comes in.

I prioritise building a genuine connection first, because without that, nothing else really works.

I also know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. That's why I offer a more personal, reliable option β€” keeping your dog comfortable in their own environment, with someone who treats them like their own.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time outside β€” the beach, the bush, hockey. Stanley's almost always with me, usually acting like every outing was his idea in the first place.

THE DOG BEHIND IT ALL

Meet Stanley.

Stanley is a Border Collie x Poodle who found his way to me after being returned three times. He wasn't "too much." He was just misunderstood β€” with needs that weren't being met.

Navigating his mild leash reactivity and separation anxiety pushed me to build my knowledge, patience, and awareness in a way nothing else could.

That experience taught me that every dog who seems "difficult" is usually just a dog whose needs haven't been understood yet. That belief carries into every walk and every house sit I take on.

HOW I WORK

The Klub K9 approach.

Connection first

Before anything else, I take the time to understand your dog β€” their personality, triggers, and what makes them tick. Genuine connection is where progress begins.

Understanding, not control

Every behaviour has a reason. I focus on reading dogs rather than managing them, responding to what they're communicating rather than just correcting what they do.

Always learning

Ongoing education in dog behaviour and handling is a core part of how I work. I actively seek out knowledge and have learned alongside several experienced trainers.

Your dog's comfort, always

Familiar environments, familiar routines. I know firsthand how much stress an unfamiliar setting can cause β€” which is why I always prioritise keeping dogs settled in their own space.

Real stimulation

Dogs need more than a lap around the block. I prioritise purposeful walks that meet a dog's mental and physical needs β€” because a fulfilled dog is a happy dog.

Treated like my own

Every dog that comes into my care gets the same patience, attention, and love I give Stanley. That's not a policy β€” it's just how I work.

Let's get to know your dog.

Tell me about your dog, their needs, and their personality β€” I'll take it from there. Every dog is different, and that's exactly the point.

Follow the pack.
